Crankshaft Grinding

If a crankshaft has been damaged due to wear and tear or lubrication issues resulting in run bearings, then the crankshaft may need grinding. This entails machining the journals of the crankshaft to accommodate new bearings.

This process ensures the journals are perfectly round and sized to the manufacturers specifications or to a specified bearing clearance determined after blue-printing.
